Spiral designs are the subject of the Diva Challenge this week.  I used to fear spirals until I found a line drawing tutorial which showed some great spiral techniques by Simone Bischoff.  Here is the page.  I couldn't resist adding my new favorite tangle Narwal.

The Diva Challenge this week is to use a touch of green in honour of St. Patrick's Day.  The first two tiles I did this week didn't work out, too cluttered and just all wrong.  I didn't think I would complete anything in time.  Then while browsing the submissions for the week I discovered the tangle called Narwal on Margaret Bremner's site.  It was love at first sight and I had to try it.  This tangle is organic, quirky and fun and I thank you Margaret for bringing it to my attention.  The link for Narwal is here.

Hello everyone...I have been away from this blog for a long time.  What brings me back is a long lived case of the flu which has caused me to be housebound for ages.  I'm not sure why this has caused me to bring out the art supplies as I thoroughly enjoy all forms of artistic expression, maybe just too many other artistic interests going on right now.  Anyway, the Diva challenge this week is to create a duo-tangle using Pokeroot and cubine.  These are two of my favorites and it was so much fun to work with them together.

The Diva challenge this week is to use a new tangle called Seton.  This is a grid pattern and the possibilities seem endless.  I decided to use the tile as one square of the grid.

The Diva Challenge this week is to create a monotangle using the tangle called Betweed.  This is a lovely pattern, simple yet effective and I enjoyed getting to know it again.

Earth Day

Here is another Earth Day tile...couldn't resist giving this another go round!

Today is Earth Day.  The Diva challenge this week is to honour the Earth by completing an Earth Day tile.  Here is my first effort.
