Zendala

Hello everyone...It has been a long time since I've posted and my only excuse is that life get's busy and sometimes overwhelming.  I'm back on track and would like to share a combination of two challenges.  One is this week's Diva challenge in which we are to use the tangle called Auraknot.  The second is this week's Bright Owl challenge which challenges us to complete a zendala while playing with a different type of paper, not a zentangle tile.  I chose a heavier weight soft yellow computer paper which does not really show up very well in the photo.  This was so much fun, loved doing a zendala and the new pattern Auraknot is my new favorite!  Here is the result:

The challenge this week is to use the new tangle Punzel. This is a fun tangle, a bit challenging to work out.

I am the Diva Challenge #44, tangles within a tangle. I used 'Scoops' for the string.

Kazlo Jazz Fest 2011

While attending the Kazlo Jazz Fest this summer, I noticed the boathouses were Zentangles. Every house had a unique pattern on the end facing the lake. These are my renditions.

Zentangle of the Week

The Zentangle diva has posted a challenge. In Republic of South Africa, on 12 October we have Bandana Day, which is run by the Sunflower Fund. This is an organization founded in 1999 in support of the SA Bone Marrow Registry for people suffering from leukemia. Every year our local retailer (Pick n Pay) sells Sunflower bandanas and the proceeds go towards the Sunflower Fund...everyone wears a Bandana, somehow somewhere on this day! I wondered if you could incorporate the Sunflower Fund logo somehow as a Challenge during the week 12 Oct?? I am the Diva can be found at http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/
