Duotangle Second Time Around

I'm loving these two tangles together and want to keep working on possibilities.  Here's another version.

Duotangle

Our lovely Diva isn't feeling well but she still found time to post a challenge this week for which I thank her profusely!  The challenge is to complete a duotangle which consists of just two tangles, in this case Crescent Moon and Diva Dance.  I used string #39 and enjoyed how these two tangles worked together.

The snow from last week is almost gone and I was able to walk around the whole yard this morning.  The covers were removed from the cold frame and the Swiss chard is alive and well which is surprising after the cold weather we've been having.  I even found the hoe and cultivated around those plants, the first garden chore of the season!  Time to plant spinach seeds.

Charlie

This week's Diva challenge is to try Erin Olson's tangle: Charlie. You can find the step-out instructions here on her blog.  I thought this was going to be difficult but decided to give it a try. It turned out to be fun and I'll try it again.  We're having a snow day here with about a foot of new snow over the last two days.  Now, we're stuck here till we can get the long driveway shoveled.  But...that's ok, snow days are fun because I can stay home and concentrate on artistic endeavors.  The spring birds are starting to show up...spring is right around the corner!

White Space

This week, the Diva's challenge is to leave some white space in our creations.  Lately, big white fluffy snowflakes have frequently filled the air leaving the trees and branches covered in a sound absorbing cocoon.  Later in the day the white mass turns to dripping water as it melts away.  These pictures remind me more of spring which is just around the corner around here. I had a difficult time knowing when to quit and just had to add some colour.

Valentangle

I love the name of this week's Diva Challenge...Valentangle.  The name speaks for itself and I created a Zentangle valentine for my dear partner.

Here it is again with some more shading.

This was the first one I completed which I think is a bit confusing but decided to include anyway.

Jailed Johnny

This week's Diva Challenge is to use the tangle called Jailed Johnny by Sadelle Wiltshire, CZT.  The step outs for this tangle are here.
I didn't think I was going to like this tangle but as I worked on it I realized the possibilities for bugs and butterflies and the organic possibilities became apparent as it progressed.  So...here is today's zentangle.

Henna Drum

Happy Summer!  It's been a long time between posts and a long time between zentangles.  The garden is finally giving me some breathing room and I can get back to the other things I love.  The Diva Challenge this week is to use the tangle Henna Drum.  My hands are a little wobbly after a long time not holding the pen.
